Final year project was completed and it was highly appreciated during the annual exhibition. Gold Medal was won by our friend Mahadev Shettey.

Now the whole focus was on final year Diploma exam. After securing first rank consecutively for four years in annual exams, our professors were encouraging us to reach the top.

It was 27 July 1980.
The results were out and I could not believe that I achieved 1st Class First with Distinction, securing 1st rank amongst students of all Applied Art Schools in the State of Maharashtra.

My name got listed on the ‘Roll of Honours’ board at Sir JJ Institute, along with previous legends. This was truly a dream come true.
